Terms of Use — Knockdown
Last updated: July 9, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Knockdown app ("the app"). By using the app you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
The app
Knockdown is a personal debt-payoff tracker. You add your own accounts and payments; the app stores them locally on your device and shows projections and tools to help you plan. Knockdown does not connect to your bank and does not move money.
Not financial advice
Knockdown provides estimates and planning tools, not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Projections are based solely on the numbers you enter and on assumptions described in the app ("How we calculate"). Always verify against your real statements before making payment decisions. You are responsible for your financial choices.
License
You're granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own non-commercial use. You agree not to copy, resell, reverse- engineer, or tamper with the app except where the law expressly allows it.
Subscriptions & billing
Knockdown's core debt tracking is free. Plus and Pro are optional auto-renewing subscriptions that unlock additional features.
- Where you're billed. Subscriptions are sold and billed through your app store account (e.g. the Apple App Store), subject to that store's terms.
- Auto-renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Managing & cancelling. Manage or cancel anytime in your app store account settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; the current period runs to its end.
- Prices. Prices are shown before purchase and may vary by region. We may change prices for future periods; changes never affect a period you've already paid for.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by your app store under its policy, not by us.
- What happens if it lapses. If a subscription ends, paid features lock but your data is never deleted — it stays on your device, and the features unlock again if you resubscribe.
App Store terms
If you got Knockdown from the Apple App Store, these additional terms apply:
- Parties. This agreement is between you and the developer of Knockdown only — not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
- License scope. Your license is limited to use of the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules.
- Maintenance & support. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and any maintenance or support. Apple has no obligation to provide either.
- Warranty. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- Claims. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app — including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and consumer-protection claims — and any claim that the app infringes a third party's intellectual-property rights.
- Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
Your data
Your data lives on your device. Keeping backups is your responsibility (see the Privacy Policy). The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law; we are not liable for data loss, so please export backups regularly.
Changes
We may update these terms; the date above changes when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the app's listed support contact.
